Early models had alternator failures. Pre-2006 models need software upgrade to relieve at least some of the random electrical glitches and false warning lights. Few report problems with steering rack, noisy rear suspension bearings and premature brake wear. First-year V8 models have reported problems with the counterbalance shaft due to water collecting in an engine-block crevice where one of the sealed bearing is located, if the engine has been washed. In pre-2008 models, the engine may not start if the fuel level is low and the vehicle is parked facing downhill due to design of fuel pump, redesigned in later models with an anti-siphon valve. If power-steering assist occasionally feels like it is not working, a new power-steering control module is required.
