In the US, there were recalls for steering shaft bolt loosening risking a chance of loss over steering control, for airbags and pre-tensioners which may not deploy during a crash, improperly welded fuel rails which can lead to a fuel leak, electric power steering control unit which has a potential of short circuit leading to loss of steering assist, third row seats which can shift forward due to the force of collision, side markers which may not illuminate with the use of headlights or park lights and airbags which may deploy with excessive froce leading to occupant injury.
