Honda Odyssey 2019 Overview
The fifth generation Honda Odyssey came out in 2018, featuring a new design and improvements in technology and safety. The Odyssey is still the same size, but improvements have been made to the structure to improve efficiency and safety. Under the hood, the 3.5-litre V6 engine is carried over, connected to a new 10-speed automatic transmission, for better performance and fuel efficiency. Standard features on the 2019 Honda Odyssey include power windows, power mirrors, central locking, electric sliding doors, fabric seats, halogen headlamps, LED daytime running lamps, LED tail lights, 8-inch touchscreen display audio, Apple CarPlay, USB, AUX, Bluetooth, 6 speakers and subwoofer, cruise control, push start button, and 18-inch alloy wheels. Higher models get 10.2-inch screen rear entertainment system, navigation, 11 speakers, leather seats, wireless phone charging, automatic AC, and 19-inch alloy wheels. Safety features include front, side, curtain and knee airbags, ABS, traction control, stability control, hill-start assist, electronic brake distribution and tyre pressure monitoring system. Higher trims get additional blind spot monitor and Honda Sensing.

| Known Problems | In the US, there were recalls for the accessory power outlet harness which may short circuit, timing belt teeth which may separate, rear wheel speed sensor harness which may be routed wrong, power sliding door which may open while moving, rear brake caliper which may reduce in performance, and SRS may become disabled due to manufacturing error. Few owners reported glitches with the rear entertainment system, rear climate control screen going blank, and rear automatic sliding door not closing properly. |
