Toyota tacks on the Land Cruiser badge on up to three of their 4WD models, including a pickup, but there is only one true Land Cruiser that everyone knows and loves for reasons unknown. The Land Cruiser five-door wagon remains at the top of the heap in sales when it comes to luxury and off-road capability, but not necessarily because it is best at either. It is still one of only a few truly legendary off-road vehicles. Few vehicles offer the off-road capability of the Land Cruiser, and fewer still combine this with its level of luxury. The Land Cruiser comes with the choice of a 4.5-litre six-cylinder with either a five-speed manual or a four-speed auto, and a new 4.7-litre V8 and a five-speed auto. There is also a 4.2-litre diesel with a manual. It can transport anywhere from eight to ten passengers depending on model. It is an expensive vehicle, but everything is still optional, including ABS, airbags and cruise control. Other options include leather sunroof and navigation. We'd love to love this outdated 4WD, but we hate the people who buy these, as any other road user will know why.
