For 2012, the midsize Cadillac SRX received a new 3.6-litre V6 engine, mated to a 6-speed automatic with paddle-shifting functions and all-wheel-drive. Even the base model is generously loaded, with a limited-slip differential, common power accessories, 18-inch wheels, LED tail lamps, chrome roof rails, 8-speaker Bose CD/MP3 stereo with AUX port, dual-zone a/c with rear vents and controls, cruise control, keyless entry, power-adjustable pedals, power-adjustable front seats and a leatherette interior. The top 'Luxury' version gets variable-effort power steering, continuously-variable real-time dampers, turning HID headlights, parking sensors with rear camera, navigation, 20-inch wheels, 10-speaker Bose stereo with Bluetooth and USB port, 40 GB hard drive, rear DVD screens, full keyless entry with push-button start, ventilated front seats, LED cabin lighting and a panoramic glass roof. For 2013, changes included an unnoticeable facelift and the introduction of the CUE multimedia entertainment system, along with some minor cabin alterations and an active noise-cancellation system. All models get front and side-curtain airbags, stability control, ABS and a tyre-pressure monitor.
