Maserati Quattroporte 2010 Overview
The Quattroporte is Maserati's luxury sedan that joined the Maserati lineup in the 2005 model year, and facelifted for 2009. Along with the mildly-changed face, the new variants include the base Quattroporte Automatica, the mid-range Quattroporte S Automatica and the top Quattroporte Sport GT-S. The base engine is the 4.2-litre V8 engine with a 6-speed automatic, while the mid-range S model has a 4.7-litre V8 with a 6-speed auto. The Sport GT-S has an upgraded 4.7-litre V8 and is now the only version with a 6-speed Cambiocorsa paddle-shifted automanual. All Quattroporte models have the usual power, safety and luxury trimmings, including premium audio and multiple airbags. The new model has expanded the already-staggering array of interior trim choices to 10 leather colours with 11 piping hues and myriad woods or lacquers from which to choose. Other interior upgrades include new cluster graphics, reshaped seats and a new multifunction wood and leather steering wheel with sporty thumb rests. Standard features include directionally-adaptive bi-xenon headlights heated leather power seats with memory, automatic dual-zone climate control, rear parking sensors and a Bose sound system with hard drive and navigation system. The Quattroporte S adds Brembo brakes and 19-inch wheels. Heating, ventilation and massage functions are optional for front and rear seats. An electronically-controlled Skyhook suspension, standard on the S and optional on the base trim, automatically adjusts to the conditions of the road. The Sport GT-S adds a black chrome treatment to the grille and side air intakes, carbon-fibre steering wheel trim and hand-brake grip, and aluminium pedals, as well as a noisier exhaust, uprated suspension, better brakes and a re-engineered gearbox for sportier shifts.
