Not only does the 2014 Mercedes-Benz E 63 AMG get a boost in power from the twin turbocharged 5.5-litre V8 engine, but also it has gone all-wheel drive. That's not it, as there is also an S-model which produces even more power. The engine is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Like all AMG models, there is Comfort, Sport, Sport+ and Manual modes to tweak suspension and transmission settings. The S-model gets a limited-slip differential as well. AMG carbon ceramic brakes are optional. The front fascia incorporates the new AMG design philosophy, which is the silver-chrome AMG "twin blade" radiator grille and the so-called "A-wing". Black flics on the side air inlets ensure optimal airflow to the cooling modules, and on the bottom a front splitter contributes to increasing downforce. It also gets widened fenders. There's both a sedan and a wagon version, although expect the sedan only to come to the Middle East, incidentally one of AMG's largest markets. All the usual luxury and safety features are available, such as power windows, electric seats, sunroof, HID headlights, front airbags, side-curtain airbags, LED running lights, leather upholstery, Bluetooth phone, adaptive cruise control, and more. It also features over 70 sensors whose sole purpose is to ensure the driver's physical well-being, such as drowsiness monitors, night-vision, automatic braking and other electronic gimmickry.
