Ssangyong Rexton 2008 Overview
The Rexton II is the latest version Ssangyong's attractive original Rexton. It was launched in the Middle East alongside two other now-defunct 4WDs back in 2002, and has survived with a facelift for 2007. The five-door Rexton can seat up to seven people and comes with a host of features. The most significant of these is the 3.2-litre inline-six engine built under license from Mercedes-Benz, based on a ten-year-old design. The engine is mated to a five-speed automatic with manual shift capability, and power reaches the road through a four-wheel-drive system that even includes low-range gearing. Available features include cloth or leather upholstery, fake wood trim, alloy wheels, CD player, keyless entry, power windows, cruise control and more. Safety features include dual front airbags with available side bags. The four-wheel disc brakes are assisted by ABS with Automatic Braking Differential, while traction control is also available.
