Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe is a combination of both coupe and crossover, designed to tackle the BMW X6. In 2020, an all-new model came out. In 2024, it got a subtle facelift with a slight power upgrade. Currently, only the GLE 53 AMG is being sold, which comes with a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged inline-6 cylinder motor, mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission. The engine is coupled with a small electric motor to improve acceleration and fuel economy. Exterior-wise, it shares a few design cues of the new S-Class Coupe, such as the roofline and rear tail lights. The interior features sports seats, a sports steering wheel and a new infotainment display. The cabin is covered in silver shadow accents, and aluminium or wood trim. Safety features include the Driving Assistance package, which includes features such as DISTRONIC PLUS with Steering Assist and Stop&Go Pilot, PRE-SAFE Brake with pedestrian detection, BAS PLUS with Cross-Traffic Assist, Active Blind Spot Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist and PRE-SAFE PLUS. The Parking package includes the 360-degree camera and Active Parking Assist with PARKTRONIC. Night-time vision is improved by the LED Intelligent Light System, which is a standard feature on all models; adverse weather conditions with an impaired view are defused by MAGIC VISION CONTROL, the heated, adaptive windscreen wiper system.
