An all-new BMW X5 launched as a 2014 model year. It is slightly wider, longer and lower than the previous model but the wheelbase remains the same. Under the bonnet, the same turbocharged engines are carried over from the previous generation, which is a 3.0-litre inline-6 cylinder unit and a 4.4-litre V8, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. However performance tweaks and use of lighter weight materials for the body makes this X5 faster and more fuel efficient than the previous model.
