Cadillac CTS 2005 UAE Prices & Specs

The CTS builds on Cadillac's push for technology and design innovation, and is a modern interpretation of the striking cars that made Cadillac famous. Built on GM's Sigma rear-wheel-drive architecture, CTS was rigourously tested at the famed Nurburgring racetrack in Germany. The CTS has an entry-level model with a 2.8-litre engine with decent power. The new-for-2005 2.8-litre V6 VVT is a modified version of the better new-for 2004 3.6-litre VVT CTS engine. Braking and suspension capabilities remain the same for both. Both engines can be mated to a six-speed manual transmission, though both are available with the five-speed automatic transmission. The automatic has an engine braking feature in all five gears. The CTS offers a unique exterior and interior, with 16-inch wheels on the base model, going up to 17-inch on this higher models. Standard features include the usual power options and multiple airbags, while available features include navigation, leather and sunroof. Wooden surfaces are used sparingly in the cabin, limited to trimmings on the steering wheel, shifter knob and door pulls. It is a convincing alternative to the Germans, but lacks the overall refinement to fully compete in anything other than in price.
