A tribute to the discontinued Hummer H1 which was based on the military Humvee, the Hummer H2 is based on the Chevrolet Tahoe platform. Technically larger than the original H1, the H2 platform has actually been modified for proper off-road duty in keeping with the Hummer name. In 2005, the Hummer H2 wagon was joined by a second model called the SUT, or Sport Utility Truck.
