This generation of the S-Class is among the top-selling luxury cars in the Middle East thanks to its mix of luxury and road presence. The S 63 AMG came by 2008. It gets the 6.2-litre V8 engine, mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission. The new model features new steps in road safety with the second generation of the PRE-SAFE occupant protection system that predicts accidents and prepares the car's occupants for the crash by initiating safety measures such as pre-tensioning seatbelts, raising seat backs to the optimum position and even closing the sunroof.
