2010 Porsche Panamera exposed early

The Porsche Panamera Gran Turismo has been all but exposed by now, as spy shots have revealed its awful shape. The real deal is now out in the open, and it doesn’t really look any prettier.

The engine range includes a 300 hp 3.6-litre V6 for the base Panamera, a 400 hp 4.8-litre V8 for the Panamera S, and a 500 hp 4.8-litre twin-turbo V8 for the Panamera Turbo, with a 350 hp hybrid V6 supposedly joining the range later. Available features include electronic air suspension, limited-slip diff, and either the rear-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive, depending on trim. The standard gearbox seems to be a 6-speed manual or Porsche’s new 7-speed PDK dual-clutch paddle-shifted transmission.

The interior features a fancy multimedia system with integrated stereo and Bluetooth functionality, although the number of buttons seems excessive.

Porsche plans to sell approximately 20,000 units each year, eventually hoping to rise as high as 50,000 a year. In this economic climate, a car that looks like this might be the least bit on people’s minds. Although the excessive number of Cayennes roaming the streets of Dubai have proven otherwise.

What do you think?

  1. not the prettiest car in sight…but i guess its gonna do well in our part of the world…wat hav porsche done with the interiors? o my god! its totally aweful…the general layout of the 911s, the cayennes or the caymans wud hav done some sort of justice to an otherwise lame looking car…

  2. its good that now there r options in terms of sports sedans…u hav the Merc CLS, the Maserati Quattraporte, the Lamborghini and o ya the Jag XF…any indication wen this is gonna hit the Dubai markets? Remember that the UAE is the second largest market for Porsche after ofcourse the USA…

  3. wow i actually think it looks really good, even the interior

  4. Don’t care what all say, But this ride is just rocking from the outside. Although for the interior it has got lotsa buttons by the gear box. Steering wheel needs hell lot of of make up to do. As a matter of fact it looks more like the Cayenne sitting low. Young family whos got money to throw will surely opt for this.

  5. i dnt like shape but porcha is porscha…
interior 2 much buttons dnt know 4 what?

  6. Might need a co-pilot to help with the buttons! what ever in the world are they for!
IMO [IMHO!] it looks better than in the spy pix. looks like a sports wagon! Its a beauty. Surprising how a lack of camo covers can change my opinion!

  7. THE THING IS THE CAR LOOKS GUD FROM SIDE AND FRONT BUT BEHIND I HAVE DOUBTS. CAN’T SAY ANYTHING THING WITHOUT LOOKING AT IT .
