Cadillac CTS-V gets Hennessey power upgrade
In all honesty, we have never driven the new “improved” Cadillac CTS. We kept asking for one, only to either be given something else or altogether forgotten. Now we will never get to drive one, because GM is going bankrupt and they have stopped giving out test-drive cars already. Even then, American tuner Hennessey may have figured that even the latest CTS-V is lacking in certain departments, and is offering performance packages to boost power to insane levels.
The four choices include an upgrade to 600 hp, 650 hp, 700 hp and 800 hp. The starting V600 package is a simple supercharger and ECU upgrade, good for 0-100 kph in 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 312 kph. The top V800 package involves a custom twin-turbo system, blow-off valves, fuel system upgrade, upgraded injectors, ECU upgrade, a Corsa stainless steel exhaust system, high-flow cylinder heads and a camshaft upgrade, all good for 0-100 kph in 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 338 kph.
US-based Hennessey Performance Engineering will ship the package around the world on special order, considering they contact us directly with information about their products.
