Successful BMW sponsorship of Qatar ExxonMobil Open 2010
Alfardan Automobiles, the BMW Group’s exclusive importer in Qatar, completed its successful sponsorship of the Qatar ExxonMobil Open 2010 with an exciting autograph session for tennis fans. As ‘Official Car’ of the tournament, BMW also provided a host of services inside and outside the stadium with chauffeured limousines, BMW lifestyle booths and vehicle displays throughout the duration of the 5-day tournament.
There was excitement on and off the tennis court at the finale of the tournament, as tennis fans not only watched an enthralling final between Rafael Nadal and Nikolay Davydenko, but also had the chance to meet a future superstar of the tennis world.
Alfardan Automobiles organized a two-day autographing session where fans had the chance to personally meet up-and-coming German tennis star Jara Ghadri. The twenty-year old junior tennis player, who is of Arab origins, was a favourite with the fans who expect to see her compete for the title in the coming years. Jara also delighted fans by saying that she has not ruled out representing an Arab country such as Qatar in the future.
For the second year running, Alfardan Automobiles were Bronze Sponsors and BMW the ‘Official Car’ of the Qatar ExxonMobil Open tournament, which was won by Russian Nikolay Davydenko. BMW hosted several activities and provided total of 25 BMW 7 series limousines with chauffeurs for the players, organizers and VIP guests to use during the event.
BMW vehicles were also displayed around the stadium to showcase the premium brands latest and sportiest BMW models, including the BMW M3 Coupe, BMW 1 Series Cabrio, the all-new BMW Z4 Roadster and the recently-launched BMW X6M.
