Range Rover 2011 gets new features
Since Land Rover trotted out the refreshed 2010 Range Rover at a GCC media event in the UAE itself late last year that we were banned from, we haven’t even laid eyes on the said new model so far, but the Indian-owned company has already announced the release of the 2011 Range Rover, with a whole set of improvements.
For 2010, the Range Rover had received two new 5.0-litre V8 engines, a mild facelift and a new interior. For 2011, the large 4×4 gets Terrain Response “enhancements,” Gradient Acceleration Control, Hill Start Assist, optional reclining rear seats, laminated privacy glass, optional Exterior Design Pack in a choice of eight colours, optional Harman Kardon Logic 7 1200W 19-speaker audio system, optional illuminated sill plates, a choice of five new alloy-wheel styles, and claims of exterior changes that are truly unnoticeable.
Also new are the introduction of a customisable Autobiography model as well as a switch to a standard rotary-style gear shifter instead of a traditional lever, a gimmick lifted straight out of the Jaguar parts bin.
