AC Schnitzer 650i convertible revealed
The new 6-series hasn’t been out long enough for an M version to be announced any time soon. To fill in that void, AC Schnitzer presents a complete range of modification for the 650i Convertible that will premiere at the IAA in Frankfurt next week.
The 650i Cabrio by AC Schnitzer has been given a performance upgrade taking it from the standard 407 hp at 5500-6400 rpm and 600 Nm of torque at 1750-4500 rpm to M-power territory 540 hp at 5800 rpm and 750 Nm of torque at 3000-3500 rpm. This has brought the time it takes for a 0–100 kph sprint to 4.4 seconds. Twin rear sports silencer, 8-pot high performance brakes, and a suspension spring kit complete the performance upgrades.
A front spoiler, chromed front grille and frame, rear skirt inserts and protection foil, chromed “Sports trim” tailpipe and 21-inch forged alloy wheels in Bi-colour complete the exterior aerodynamic and aesthetic changes while the matt painted interior frames in “Space Grey”; tacky aluminium cover for the i-Drive system controller and pedal set; velour foot and trunk mats; and sports steering wheel with painted inserts complete the interior changes.
Release dates have not been announced though we expect it to be available by the end of this year.
