Limited-edition Lamborghini Gallardo 570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale

The Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Super Trofeo Stradale is being called the most extreme Gallardo ever just like every other Gallardo that has been released before it. Haven’t they milked this cow long enough with limited editions being launched almost every year?

Inspired from the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo race car, it boasts a maximum dry weight of 1340 kilograms which combined with the 5.2-litre V10 creating 570 hp at a screaming 8000 rpm and 540 Nm of torque at 6500 rpm gives it a power to weight ratio of just 2.35 kgs per hp for a breathtaking 0-100 km/h sprint in just 3.4 seconds. It reaches 200km/h in just 10.4 seconds topping out at 320 km/h.

Taken off from the race car, the Super Trofeo Stradale has a manually variable carbon fibre rear spoiler that results in better aerodynamic load for better high speed driving. Another element taken directly from the racing version is the removable carbon fibre engine hood with a quick-release system. Together with aluminium, carbon fibre is the basis behind the extremely lightweight construction of Gallardo’s new top model.

The Super Trofeo Stradale offers the robotized e-gear six-speed transmission controlled by steering wheel paddles as standard which is equipped with a “Thrust mode” for maximum acceleration from a standstill with minimal tire spin. The suspension is a double aluminum wishbone guiding the ultra-lightweight 19-inch titanium wheels with optional carbon-ceramic brakes.

Special to the Super Trofeo Stradale is the “Rosso Mars” exterior paint tastefully two-toned with matt black and carbon fiber. Other available options is a tubular interior roll cage, 4-point safety belts and fire extinguisher for the track affectionate while on the other hand, those who want comfort can equip their Super Trofeo Stradale with a satellite navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, an anti-theft system, and a lifting system that raises the front axle.

With a limited run of just 150 numbered units; we expect most of them to vanish into a collector’s garage to be stashed away as a show piece. With the possibility of a few trickling down to some VVIPs locally; we won’t be surprised if we spot one lying in the Aweer used car complex in some year’s time.
