Jaguar XF Sportbrake revealed ahead of debut
So this leap year just saw the leaping cat grow bigger. In the picture is the Jaguar XF in an all-new wagon form, dubbed as the Jaguar XF Sportbrake, revealed ahead of its debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.
Sharing its underpinnings with the XF sedan, the XF Sportbrake is only slightly longer while weighing just about 70 kg more, but offers better rear headroom and more versatile cargo area. Supporting the extra dimensions would be a revised rear suspension system, comprised of self-levelling air-suspensions that also aid in retaining the driving dynamics of the sedan. The XF Sportbrake will be offered in a choice of two diesel engines – a 4-cylinder 2.2-litre and a 6-cylinder 3.0-litre, each mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. We have no clue if the XF Sportbrake wagon will be offered with petrol engines.
The Jaguar XF Sportbrake will go on sale in the UK later this year. There are no detailed prices and specifications available at the moment. Nevertheless, we do not expect to see this one in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and rest of the GCC, due to obvious reasons.
