Mitsubishi Outlander 2013 debuts with all-new design
The Mitsubishi Outlander is a forgotten player in the compact crossover segment. Mitsubishi even claims that they coined the term “crossover” although they are arguably not the inventors of the crossover. Still, the Outlander has been completely redesigned for the 2013 model year.
The new Outlander debuted at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. Aside from the all-new exterior and interior you see here, there isn’t much else to report. Europe will get a 148 hp 2.0-litre 4-cylinder, but when it comes to the GCC, we expect at least a 2.4-litre inline-4 and possibly even the 3.0-litre V6 to carry over.
Keep track of UAE updates in the Mitsubishi Outlander buyer guide.

Nothing compared to Kia Sportage!

I see elements of Dodge in this, especially the interior. Some sort of collaboration between them?
ahmed
having it this way is so-so…especially when it comes to interior…
having it GCC speced…it will suck downright :s
the shark nose was not suiting this car from start, but now they made it look even more confusing..
Tendsach
OHhh!!! so it’s seven seater.

As a previous owner of a full op 2008 v6 outlander ,I sold it for the following reasons.
1.The v6 was underpowered inspite of aclaimed light weight and a 6 speed,it harldy moved.
2.In fwd mode the torque steer was terrible
3.There were no rear a/c vents which must be a criteria for any GCC spec car
4.Fuel efficency/tank range was horrid if you were an enthusiastic driver, that said v4 owners are quite happy with the tank range as it almost 20-25% higher
5.Last but not the least the service was crap/too expensive and simply overated.I could only remeber
screaming at them most of the time.
This time around it feels like they got subaru to design the car and for some reason it look like a forester
.They must introduce more airbags/cooler/media navi in this market without worrying it would take pagero cms.

1. the car was not made to rival a nissan z :P, give me a crossover that is fast in its price range, plus they improved this in the 2010 model.
2.many american magazines praise its handling, plus again its not an evo 😛
3.i agree they should put a stronger a/c at least, the a/c cant keep up in this GCC heat.
4.i know Mitsubishis fuel economy isnt that good but if you drive light-footed, its really not that bad.
5.i don’t live in UAE but her in Kuwait its not that bad 🙂
the 2010 model here has pretty cool features like hill assist and 8 airbags and a 9 speaker Rockford Fosgate audio system thats pretty decent 🙂

Not as bad design as CRV.
Japanese should take Design classes from Koreans.

i don’t know why driveArabia didn’t mention the features apparently the 2013 outlander has adaptive cruise control and lane departure warning, plus forward collision mitigation 🙂

Damn, the most ugly asian car I’ve seen in years. I thought only Honda lost the edge but Mitsubishi..

I am looking for outlander but really upset to see the current model. The previous model (2007) should be reintroduce again as it has more aesthetic look and the front and back light-hood should be the usual form of as seen in the ASX. Then outlender would be perfect.
Indeed Japanese need to learn something from Korean as regards the model & aesthetic look of the car.
