Jaguar adds two new force-fed engines to their range
Jaguar will be introducing two all-new engines for key global markets, namely a supercharged 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine and the turbocharged 2.0-litre I4 petrol engine.
The supercharged 3.0-litre V6 shares a few technologies with the supercharged 5.0-litre V8 engine, including direct injection, variable valve timing, and aluminium construction. The Jaguar saloons will get the slightly detuned version producing 336 hp and 450 Nm, propelling the cars from zero to 100 kph in 5.7 seconds.
Jaguar’s new sports car, the F-TYPE will get the full-blown 375 hp and 460 Nm version of that engine, which at 125.3 hp per-litre registers the highest specific power output of any Jaguar engine to date.
In the XF, the supercharged 3.0-litre V6 will replace the naturally-aspirated version of the 5.0-litre V8 in all markets for 2013. The turbocharged 2.0-litre inline 4-cylinder which will be available in the XF and XJ models will produce 235 hp and 340 Nm.
All engines will be matched to a ZF-sourced 8-speed automatic transmission.

I bought the XJ with the 5.0, the reason I did that was because the V6 was very low on power. Plus nothing beats the V8. But giving it a 2.0 4 banger, Really?
