Dongfeng Venucia R50 from China based on Nissan Tiida

Chinese joint-venture Dongfeng-Nissan has officially launched the Venucia R50 for the China-only market, which is based on the current Nissan Tiida sold in the UAE and GCC markets.

The Venucia will be getting a 1.6-litre engine with 116 hp. The discerning consumer has the option of either a 4-speed automatic or a 5-speed manual for the R50.

Currently, the 1.8-litre is the only engine variant being offered in the Mexican-built 2012 Nissan Tiida in the UAE, which produces about 127 hp and 173 Nm of torque. There are no plans to offer the Dongfeng version in the Middle East, as far as we know.

Keep track of Nissan Tiida prices and updates in the Nissan buyer guide.
