So we got a 2012 Chrysler 200
We already drove the 2012 Chrysler 200 at the launch event in Dubai, so we’ve already formed our first impressions on it. But we got it back in for an extended second round to see if it a legitimate midsize contender.
The 200 is obviously still based on the Sebring, a car that was hated by critics who loved to follow trends at the time. We kind of liked the Sebring’s unique styling, although the details have been simplified a bit for the 200.
The interior gets the bulk of the makeover budget though. The materials alone are the best in the midsize class. And we still love the easy-to-use tech. It has voice-recognition which actually understands us.
Out back, the rear passenger space isn’t as good as that of the class leaders. But that means the boot is massive. It comes with strut hinges, but the opening is a bit small.
The Chrysler 200 is an interesting option in a crowded segment dominated by just a few names. But it may not be doing enough to overtake the top players. More in the full review.
