The naturally aspirated engine gets a 6-speed manual or a Lineartronic CVT and will ride on 17-inch 225-section tires. Meanwhile the force-fed engine gets a high-performance CVT and will get fancier 18-inch 255-section tires. All models get a symmetrical all-wheel drive system.
In Japan however, the new Forester’s will be powered by a 146 hp 2.0-litre flat-4 coupled with either a 6-speed manual or a CVT, or a 276 hp 2.0-litre turbocharged boxer, CVT being the only option in the latter.

I know someone who covered 550K in 7 years in 03′ Forster. Let me correct that,7 years of abusing and still had absolutely no problem !. Amazing durable car. Unfortunately the dealer here in KSA is one of the worst in promoting and providing parts,so it doesn’t get the props it deserves.

Well mate, the dealer in Dubai is not far behind. Lousy sales staff (one of them was quite good & he left for better pastures….to Al Futtaim). There’s one worthless Manager in charge of the showroom who’s just good in threatening employees with a termination if they don’t perform. But when it comes to their own inputs regarding marketing plans, brand recognition, brand awarenenss etc., they are way behind. So all in all, I don’t see this as a coincidence that KSA & Dubai has got bad dealers of Subaru. I look at it more like Subaru doesn’t care for these markets. Otherwise it doesn’t take much to see through and take corrective measures.

Forgot to add, you should see the attitude of the Service Manager of Dubai Service. Makes you think why you bought the car in the first place. But when I drive the car, when I hear the engine roar giving me 258hp from it’s 3.6, I tend to forget them all, of course, dreading my day when I’ve to go back there for my next service since I’ve to see their faces. Maybe I’ll check with Dynatrade or some other service stations and check whether they service Subaru vehicles.
