BMW 4-Series to spell the end of 3-series Coupe

BMW have released pictures of the new 4-series and it is set to replace the BMW 3-series coupe and convertible. Images of only the coupe has been revealed as the convertible will debut a year later.

The exterior has all the new design cues being adopted by BMW recently with the front fascia having the wider kidney grille and the LED headlights next to it, with the large bonnet sloping down over them. At the rear, the bumper seems to have a lot going on with the lower fascia continuing the aggressive lines front the front bumper. The interior has a more familiar look with its rich leather wrapped cockpit.

The BMW 4-series will have two engine choices carried over from the 3-series. One will be the 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbo and the other will be the 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged 6-cylinder engine. Both engines will be available with either a six-speed manual or a 8-speed automatic transmission.

Expect the BMW 4-series coupe to arrive in UAE, Saudi Arabia and other GCC countries by the summer of next year.
