2014 Alfa Romeo 4C production version debuting soon
These are the first computer-enhanced photos of the upcoming 2014 Alfa Romeo 4C, the Italian carmaker’s first proper sports car in years, aside from the expensive short-lived 8C Competizione.
While the Alfa 8C was limited to 500 cars, the 4C is a smaller mass-production model with a mid-engine rear-wheel-drive layout. It will be a powered by a 1.75-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder with close to 250 hp, mated to a “TCT” dual-clutch automatic.
While the external styling stays true to the concept, the 4C will also feature Alfa Romeo’s newest “DNA”, which is basically a driving-mode selector for Dynamic, Natural and All-Weather; with an additional Race mode as well.
The actual car will debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show next month. We’re told the 4C is coming to the GCC, possibly by the end of the year, although that might depend on the success of their core models in the UAE first, which include the Giulietta and the MiTo.
The 4C won’t be cheap though, as we expect prices to creep beyond Dhs 200,000.
