Toyota beefs up Hilux with Invincible edition

2014 Toyota Hilux Invincible
The Hilux was always invincible. So much that, it is still one of the best selling pickup trucks in the GCC and it only seems odd that Toyota is adding the name to the vehicle now.

The Invincible grade Hilux pickup will be available to buyers in a choice of ‘Extra Cab’ or ‘Double Cab’ body styles and ‘Active’ or ‘Sport’ versions depending on the users requirements.

The ‘Active’ version features a silver front underguard, chrome air-intake, fog lamps, rear lamp bezels and an ‘Invincible’ badge. The interiors are highlighted in black with black fabric seats, padded armrests, a leather handbrake, light grey roof lining and again, some ‘Invincible’ scuff plates.

The Hilux Invincible ‘Sport’ however, adds chrome hi-bars and also a new optional hard-top. Alongside that you get chrome side bars, new 17 inch dual-tone alloy wheels and similar black interior, but this time with full leather seats.

The pickup is reportedly available in 8 exterior body colours and with a choice of four powertrains including a 2.5-litre D-4D engine with a manual transmission and either 2WD or 4WD, and a 3.0-litre D-4D unit with a manual or automatic transmission, and 4WD. The engines produce 100 hp and 162 hp respectively.

There is no news on whether the Hilux Invincible is destined to arrive in the UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia or the rest of the GCC where the vehicle made it large. But it seems the pickup will enter Europe sometime later this year.

  1. That’s cool and all… but what about the Tundra????

  2. They should have offered the Hilux with the V6 petrol here in the GCC long ago like they do in australia and some parts of the world. This vehicle has a following.
