Lister to commemorate 60th anniversary with Knobbly racecar

Lister Motor Company, one of the top names in British racing during the 1960’s has popped up once again; only this time, with a different management, to celebrate the company’s 60th anniversary. In any case, the 2014 Lister Knobbly, which is up for sale, is based on the original 1958 Lister-Jaguar Knobbly.

Filling in the smallest bits of the famous racecar to every minute detail, the cars are hand-made and crafted in aluminium. The car will also be powered by a choice of two engines, namely a reproduction Jaguar D-type 3.8-litre inline-6 cylinder that pumps out 330 hp and 400 Nm of torque, and a Chevrolet 4.8-litre V8 producing a modest 315 hp and 393 Nm of torque. There is a road-legal version, as well as a racing version approved for FIA historic racing.

Pricing for the race trim 2014 Lister Knobbly stands at Dhs 1.5 million before tax, whereas the road-going version will set you back an extra Dhs 60,000. Supposedly, the delivery of the vehicles will begin in UK, by April this year. We most certainly wouldn’t be surprised if a few of these make it to the GCC.
