2015 Jeep Renegade leaked ahead of Geneva debut

Several photos and full details of the all-new 2015 Jeep Renegade sub-compact crossover have been leaked ahead of its official debut at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, and it looks like there will also be a “Trail-Rated” off-road version with red tow-hooks and everything.

Seemingly named after a trim level of the Wrangler, the little Fiat-based Jeep Renegade gets several engine options, including 136 hp and 166 hp versions of a 1.4-litre turbo-4 mated to either manual or dual-clutch automanual gearboxes; a 184 hp 2.4-litre inline-4 mated to a 9-speed automatic; as well as a 106 hp 1.6-litre inline-4 and a couple of turbodiesels, depending on market.

From what we can figure out, it’s available in front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive versions, with the latter getting a terrain-select system, while the off-road version has a low-range gear as well.

The Renegade is expected to hit European markets at some point this summer, and we hear it’s already confirmed for the Middle East market as well. Expect it to reach UAE, Saudi and other GCC showrooms by the end of the year specced out with the more powerful engines.
