General Motors recall for 2015 Cadillac Escalade & 2013-2014 CTS
General Motors is recalling all examples of the all-new 2015 Cadillac Escalade as well as the 2013-2014 Cadillac CTS to two separate issues.
As per the U.S. NHTSA safety agency, 1,402 examples of the 2015 Escalade and Escalade ESV models are being recalled because “an insufficiently heated plastic weld that attaches the passenger side air bag to the instrument panel assembly could result in a partial deployment of the airbag in the event of a crash.” Sales have been stopped until the fix is done, and owners have been told to not let anyone sit in the front passenger seat until the issue has been addressed.
In addition, over 19,000 examples of 2013-2014 Cadillac CTS are being recalled over windshield wipers that might not work after a jump start.
It is unknown if any cars in the GCC are affected.
