Agent 007 gets new Aston Martin DB10 in Spectre movie
The Aston Martin DBS featured in previous Bond films was never a slouch. The Queen’s secret agent- James Bond, always gets custom built sports cars, usually with guns! And Aston Martin is reportedly crafting the new DB10 to serve Bond in the upcoming movie next year.
Setting foot as a concept for the latest Bond film ‘Spectre’, Aston Martin claims that only ten production examples of the DB10 will be built. However, no details for the engine were released. But there’s no harm in assuming that the 6.0-litre V12 from the Vanquish may provide the grunt underneath. The only surprise could be if they squeezed in the 7.3-litre V12 from the One-77.
In terms of design, or rather what we can make of the only picture released, the DB10 looks menacing, and will actively rival cars such as the Jaguar F-Type Coupe. EON Productions, the studio responsible for the Bond films, reportedly worked with Aston’s chief designer Marek Reichman and his team to come up with a car that inherited the basic cues from the V8 Vantage, but with “different lines”.
The DB10 is not set to feature at your local showroom anytime. But it could be seen as a stepping stone for any future releases from the company. In any case, the Aston Martin DB10 will make its first silver screen appearance on November 6th in the movie-Spectre, next year.

The DB10 is not based on the new platform Aston Martin is developing for future generations of cars. Instead it uses the existing VH (vertical/horizontal) architecture and is powered by a 4.7-liter V8 engine, also used in the V8 Vantage.

@Utk. The new DB10 will indeed ride on the VH platform from the V8 Vantage. But the engine specs haven’t been listed. There were reports that the DB10 may even get a new Mercedes-AMG engine. But sources do point back to the aged 4.7 V8. We’ll have to wait for the official wording though
