Honda pulled a surprise act and showed off the Civic Concept at the 2015 New York Auto Show, which strongly hints at what the next generation 2016 Civic will look like.

Honda confirms the tenth-generation Civic will be available as a sedan, coupe, SI, hatchback and Type R formats.

The Japanese brand has revealed one of the engines that will be available for the new Civic, which is a turbocharged 4-cylinder 1.5-litre motor with direct injection, mated to either a 6-speed manual transmission or a CVT.

Safety features for the next Civic will include Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Warning, Multi-Angle Rearview Camera, Adaptive Cruise Control and Honda LaneWatch technologies.

The 2016 Honda Civic should make it to the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and other GCC countries by the end of the year.

Comments

  1. I think the production Civic will be as 2017 model, not 2016

  2. Very subtle change, side profile reminds me of the old generation genesis coupe. Only the color is attractive. design is quite bland.

  3. Looks like a veloster to me…

  4. It remains a Honda brand, quality mixed with cool design.

  5. Front looks aggressive…. Side profile needs d same… Overall, its impressive…. Simply a wowww……

  6. Turbo engine mated to a CVT?

  7. The car looks like a compact and shrunken Accord coupe.

  8. When are new model year Honda’s introduced in Saudi Arabia? And in the UAE?

Will the 2016 Civic be available in the Fall (September 2015) or in the Winter (December 2015)?
