2016 Ford Mustang officially revealed

Ford has revealed details on the 2016 Mustang. As expected changes are minor and mostly include added styling options.

The Mustang EcoBoost Premium will get a new Pony Package, which includes a tri-bar pony emblem, side stripes, chrome window surrounds and 19-inch polished aluminium wheels.

For the Mustang GT, there is a new Black Accent Package which gives a black rear spoiler, black emblems and 19-inch alloy wheels with a black finish.

The Mustang GT can also be had with a California Special Package which adds a hood and side stripes, as well as a rear spoiler. The package also adds a front splitter, a revised front-grille, a strut tower brace and 19-inch black aluminium wheels. For the interior it gets Ebony leather & suede seats, red contrast stitching and an aluminium dashboard trim.

For the Mustang GT convertible, there is a Performance Package which features a larger radiator, a strut tower and “K” brace as well as a sport-tuned suspension with larger rear sway bars and heavy-duty front springs. The package also adds a limited-slip differential, a more aggressive front splitter and 19-inch black aluminium wheels with summer performance tyres. Rounding out the changes are an engine-turned aluminum instrument panel with auxiliary gauges and a retuned stability control and steering system.

Another exterior addition is for the Mustang GT also gains hood vent-mounted turn signals like the ones offered on the 1967 Mustang. Other additions include a black roof, and black or silver racing stripes. The 2016 Mustang also gets the new SYNC 3 infotainment system, Ford’s next-generation communications and entertainment system.

The 2016 Ford Mustang should arrive in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and other GCC countries at the beginning of next year.
