Pay Dubai traffic fines at police patrol cars, literally on the spot
Residents of Dubai can now pay their traffic fines at Dubai Police patrol cars, as well as have the option of splitting the fine amount into instalments with “zero-percent” interest. The new service is part of the Dubai Smart City initiative.
Colonel Khalid Al Razouki, Director of E-Services Department in Dubai Police, says police patrol cars will be soon equipped with credit-card readers, so traffic offenders to pay fines “on-the-go.”
Dubai Police and Emirates NBD has signed an agreement which allows credit-card users the option of paying their fines in interest-free instalments from three months to a year.
Dubai traffic fines can also be paid in any traffic department, police station, Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) offices and through self-service points such as the Dubai Police website, kiosks and Emirates NBD Bank.
