Continental SportContact 6 tyres arrives in Middle East
Continental have just launched the new SportContact 6 sports tyres across the Middle East, which has been designed for high-end cars. It replaces the ContiSportContact 5P tyres.
After extensive testing at Continental HQ in Hannover, Germany, the new tyres have shown that they give the tyre a 14% better steering precision over the ContiSportContact 5P tyres, and 11% better dry handling. It also has 7% better wear, 7% less noise and 10% higher high-speed stability.
Part of the reason for this increase is a result of the new chemical composition of the tyre tread, along with the new tread design and tyre structure. From now on, 41 dimensions will be available for rims with diameters of 19 to 23-inches.
One interesting fact is the SportContact 6 is the OE tyre for the new Honda Civic Type R, which recently set the Nurburgring FWD record of 7:50.63.
