So we got a 2016 Volvo XC90

We’ve been hearing good things about the all-new Volvo XC90 from the international media, so we didn’t hesitate to try it out when the call came.

The new XC90 looks fairly handsome from some angles, with its LED-lined headlights and tail-lights, although the side profile is somewhat generic.

Inside, there’s abundant use of premium trim materials and a clear lack of buttons, keeping the look clean with the use of an iPad-like touchscreen. It’s easily one of the classiest cabins we’ve ever seen.

There’s no shortage of space, with an adjustable cabin that can hold 7 adults in a pinch as well as a bit of luggage. The second-row middle seat can even convert to a child’s booster seat.

While we never drove the previous-gen XC90 that ran for more than a decade, this new one is good enough to be a luxury-grade contender. More on that in the full review.
