Alfa Romeo Giulia regular version revealed at Geneva Motor Show
Alfa Romeo has revealed the regular versions of their new rear-wheel-drive Giulia sedan at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. Built to take on the BMW 3-series, Mercedes C-Class and Audi A4, the Giulia is presented to us in three variants — base, Special, and the red hot Quadrifoglio that was first unveiled late last year with with its extra vents, rear diffuser, boot spoiler and bigger wheels.
The Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio remains the range-topping performance model and you can find a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 under its hood. The V6 churns out 503 hp and 600 Nm of torque, which propels the car from O to 100 kph in 3.9 seconds. Alfa claims that the Quadrifoglio has lapped the Nordschleife circuit of the Nurburgring in 7.39 seconds. The sedate versions of the car, which obviously is going to contribute more to the total sales, will have 2 diesel engines and a petrol engine. The petrol engine produces 197 hp and the diesels produce 148 hp and 178 hp. Customers can choose between a six-speed manual gearbox and an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Inside the car, an 8.8-inch screen can be found, which is controlled via a dial. It acts as an interface for the infotainment system which comes with the provision to connect Apple and Android devices to it. It also comes with a Tom-Tom navigation system. The Alfa DNA driving mode switch can also be found on the dashboard which enables toggling between different driving modes. Behind the wheel, depending on the trim, a 3.5-inch or a 7-inch screen can be found in the gauge cluster. A Harman Kardon 14-speaker audio system helps to spice the ambience up.
Orders for the Giulia will be taken from April for the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East and Africa), according to the company. The pricing will be close to that of its rivals.

Finally, some headway. But it looks a bit meek without the vents and diffuser.
