2017 Nissan Pathfinder facelift revealed
To mark the 30th anniversary of their Pathfinder model, Nissan has given it a refresh for 2017. As it’s just a mid-life update, the changes are not ground-breaking. This facelift bears a close resemblance to the outgoing model as the profile remains the same, while the front and rear ends have been reworked.
The front fascia gets treated with new designs for the headlights, tail lights, fog lights and daytime running lamps along with the new grill and hood.
Under the hood, the 3.5-litre V6 has been worked on to produce 284 hp and 351 Nm, which is 24 hp and 12 Nm more than the current model. The fuel economy stays the same though. The addition of direct injection and a lowered drag coefficient help on that front. Nissan has stiffened the suspension a bit as well.
The Pathfinder has a redesigned console with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system equipped with the NissanConnect system. The top-spec models are equipped with safety features like the Collision Mitigation system.
The new Pathfinder will have a September launch in the United States, while it should come to the UAE and GCC by the beginning of next year.
