Lotus Evora GT430 limited edition revealed

British manufacturer Lotus recently revealed Evora GT430 4-seater. The GT430 is the most hardcore model from Lotus and it sports a 3.5-litre supercharged V6 petrol engine.

The Toyota-derived V6 mill in the Lotus Evora GT430 produces 430 hp and 440 Nm and comes paired only to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The GT430 has gone on a diet to utilise this power better and this is accomplished by the extensive use of carbon-fibre and a light-weight chassis. These measures knock 36 kg off the curb weight of the already light Lotus Evora 410. The 0-100 kph run is taken care of in less than 4 seconds. The top speed is 305 kph.

The aero appendages of the Lotus include larger front apertures, a new carbon-fibre splitter, air blades and louvers combined with a bigger rear diffuser and a large carbon-fibre wing. The large rear wing dominates the visual appeal of the GT430. It alone produces 249 kg worth of downforce at the rear. The 19-inch front and 20-inch rear alloys are shod with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres. The interior offers a pair of sports seats which can be upholstered in leather or Alcantara. Carbon-fibre inserts are littered in the cabin as well.

Only 60 units of the Lotus Evora GT430 will be built for the international markets. Given the small numbers, they are all probably sold by now. Maybe a few will show up in the UAE or other GCC markets.
