BMW releases teasers for 2019 Z4 M40i
The 2019 BMW Z4 Roadster has been making camouflaged appearances all over the world for a while now. To build some interest in the otherwise unloved nameplate, BMW now has officially dropped a teaser of their BMW Z4 prototype in its range-topping M40i avatar.
The camouflaged shots of the hot Z4 M40i reveals bigger vents, blue calipers, and large exhaust tips, all hinting at a powerful vehicle. As it was already confirmed by BMW, the 2019 Z4 M40i will be “extremely powerful” with its newly developed inline-six engine. Apart from this mill, the 2019 Z4 will come with some good machinery like an M sports brake system, new front axle, lowered sports suspension with electronically controlled dampers, rear differential with electronically lockable setup, and a set of M alloy wheels.
It will take another few months for the Bavarians to launch the BMW Z4 in its full glory to the public. This should get really interesting as Toyota is also gearing up to introduce the new Supra, which will share many things with the BMW Z4, at the same time.
Magna-Steyr, the automobile manufacturing firm in Austria, expected to build the BMW Z4, has confirmed that the production of the Z4 Roadster will commence in late-2018. The company does not mention the Supra though in spite of the rumours that said Magna-Steyr will be responsible for the production of the Toyota as well.
