2022 Infiniti QX80 facelift debuts with improved interiors

The Middle East is one of the few remaining strongholds for the colossal Infiniti QX80. While it already had a facelift and interior upgrade a few years ago, Infiniti has done another update for 2022.

Visually, the exterior is pretty much the same on the 2022 Infiniti QX80 with the changes done mainly inside the vehicle. The interior slides away from the dual-screen setup of the Patrol and adopts a 12.3-inch widescreen floating screen. This touchscreen infotainment system offers wireless Apple CarPlay but Android users will still need to carry a wire.

The other amenities inside the new Infiniti QX80 include Infiniti’s Intouch services, line guidance and navigation, a premium BOSE sound system, and a wireless charger. Upping the ante even further is adaptive cruise control and heated front and second-row captain seats.

Under the skin, everything is familiar. The 5.6-litre V8 continues with 400 hp and 560 Nm of torque under its belt. A 7-speed automatic transmission continues to do duty with the engine. The power is laid down on the road either through the rear wheels, or all four wheels via the All-mode four-wheel-drive.

The 2022 Infiniti QX80 brings in no groundbreaking changes to the table. Yet, this refresh should help it with sturdier footing as the luxury SUV segment storm rages on with more competitors.

  1. QX 80 Update interesting ; I’d like to know the towing capacity after a GVM upgrade; Standard is 3500kg I would like 4500 kg if possible.

I believe that this vehicle has potential to put down the overated LC300 !.
