2025 Nissan Patrol

2025 Nissan Patrol Y63 spotted in Dubai

The all-new 2025 Nissan Patrol has been spotted testing in Dubai under a black wrap. While Nissan has officially revealed the bigger new grille, taillight and wheel design in teasers, this spy shot shows the car’s overall silhouette.

Update: The 2025 Nissan Patrol has officially launched, and the spy shot didn’t reveal any surprises. It did have vertical taillights and a new rear bumper design featuring huge reflector lamps and a tow hook in the middle.

The vertical taillight design is an ode to the second-generation Nissan Patrol 160 series, where it was first introduced.

The other not-so-secret change was the engine, where the Patrol LE trim loses the V8 engine. It is now replaced with a 3.5-litre V6 turbocharged engine, producing 425 hp and 700 Nm of torque.

Old article continued:

Judging by the size of the new 2025 Infiniti QX80, which is an inch bigger than the previous generation, we expect the Patrol to be the same. Even the width will be more than that of the Patrol 2024 model.

Also, under the hood, the top model at least will not be a V8 anymore. Like the Infiniti QX80, the 2025 Nissan Patrol will likely have the same turbocharged 3.5-litre V6 engine mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission.

The Infiniti QX80 produces about 450 hp and 702 Nm of torque. Whether the Patrol will have the same specs remains to be seen.

The current V8 on the Nissan Patrol model is a 5.6-litre unit that produces 400 hp and 560 Nm of torque. The Y62 model also has a V6 option, which is a 4.0-litre motor producing 275 hp and 394 Nm of torque.

It will also be interesting to see how similar the Nissan Patrol and Infiniti QX80 interiors are.

The new QX80’s dashboard has dual 14.3-inch displays, one serving as the driver’s instrument cluster gauge and the other as the infotainment system touchscreen.

The 2025 Nissan Patrol will officially launch globally on September 3rd. Stay tuned on DriveArabia and check out our Nissan Patrol buyer guide for the latest updates on prices and specs.
