First Look: Top Features of the 2025 Toyota Fortuner

The 2025 Toyota Fortuner continues to uphold its reputation as a reliable and versatile SUV.  While it may be on the same platform as the Toyota Hilux, the Fortuner’s suspension has been tuned to be more comfortable for both on and off the road.

Available in three trims, here’s a closer look at the standout features of the 2025 Toyota Fortuner. 

Exterior Features

The Toyota Fortuner 2025 is available in four colour options. The standard ‘EXR’ trim includes 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, daytime running lights, front and rear fog lamps, a silver front grille, roof rails, a roof spoiler, high-mount stop lights, and front and rear mudguards. The ‘GXR’ trim adds a chrome front grille and door handles. 

The higher ‘VXR’ trim also features 18-inch alloy wheels, front and rear bumper spoilers, and a powered rear door. 

Interior Features and Technology

Inside, the Fortuner comes with fabric seats, manual climate control, a third row with two foldable seats, six speakers, a 4.2-inch multi-information display, and an 8-inch multimedia display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The ‘GXR’ trim adds tri-zone air conditioning, a hot and cold glove box, paddle shifters, and a steering wheel with leather and wood accents.

The top ‘VXR’ trim also includes tan leather seats and powered and ventilated seats for both the driver and passenger.

Toyota Fortuner Engine Specifications

In UAE markets, the 2025 Toyota Fortuner is available with a Four-Wheel Drive (4WD) configuration. A Two-Wheel Drive (2WD) option is offered in Saudi Arabia.

The standard ‘EXR’ trim is powered by a 2.7-litre 4-cylinder engine delivering 164 hp and 245 Nm of torque. The ‘GXR’ and ‘VXR’ trims upgrade to a 4.0-litre V6 engine with 235 hp and 376 Nm of torque.

In Saudi Arabia, a 2.4-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder diesel engine option offers 147 hp and 400 Nm of torque. 

All versions come with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The V6’s fuel efficiency rating is 7.9 km/l, and the 4-cylinder 2.7-litre petrol engine gets about 8.1 km/l. The diesel engine has a rating of 12.7 km/l.

Safety Features

The 2025 Fortuner comes with a range of safety features, including rear parking sensors, cruise control, a driver knee airbag, dual front airbags, an Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), an anti-theft immobiliser, a Tire Pressure Warning System (TPWS), and Hill-Start Assist Control (HAC). The ‘GXR’ trim adds front and rear parking sensors, a rear-view camera, and a differential lock. 

The top ‘VXR’ trim further enhances safety with a Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) and a Blind Spot Monitor.

Toyota Fortuner Pricing and Availability

As of November 2024, the 2025 Toyota Fortuner’s price ranges from AED 127,900 to AED 172,900 in the UAE and SAR 117,875 to SAR 164,565 in Saudi Arabia.
