Anyone want a VW Jetta review?

Anyone want a VW Jetta review?

We have been asking for an Eos or a Jetta for a month now, getting a date from VW and then getting postponed from their side again and again. Now, we don’t even mind being on a waiting list with a confirmed date in February 2012, but after numerous follow-ups by us, we were told by VW that there are preferences on who gets these cars for a test. This is an indirect hint that namely “established” magazines will drive the car before us. Even that “other” auto site drove these cars ages ago. We’ve decided to not follow up any more,

Taking a "crossover" offroad means trouble

Taking a “crossover” offroad means trouble

We often show our distaste for 4WDs that are not really equipped to go offroad. But when BMW released selective footage of their prototype X5 bashing dunes using its fancy-pants XDrive all-wheel-drive system, we figured we’d give it a go too. And I just had to see the gadgetry that was advertised in the press releases.

Our latest amateur video creation

I am finally releasing our latest installment of gritty test drive footage, complete with piss-poor camerawork, terrible video quality, cheesy dance music and even more pathetic driving. But at least you get to see some of our fleet cars in action. This one includes footage of the Chevy Lumina SS, the Infiniti G35, the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT-8 and the Ford Focus hatchback. Click here and let the fun begin!

So we briefly get a Ford Edge

So we briefly get a Ford Edge

We got the new Ford Edge for a test drive, although it took us a while to get our heads around the fact that Ford let us have it for only a day. We didn’t believe it until we saw the final paperwork. Anyway, while it is no Rolls Royce, it is a comfortable crossover that seats five, rides like a Camry and can fit a big TV in the back.
