BMW tuner Alpina, who like to refer to themselves as a “manufacturer” as per German laws, has released details on their latest model, the 2011 Alpina B5 F10 Bi-Turbo, based on the BMW 5-Series. It is sort of a pre-emptive strike on the upcoming BMW M5.
BMW North America have announced that the new BMW Alpina B7 will join its U.S. line-up as a 2011 model and is due to be officially launched at the Chicago Auto Show in February. For those keeping tabs, the B7 first went on sale in Abu Dhabi through the local BMW dealer.
The Abu Dhabi dealer for BMW is the first importer in the world to officially take delivery of the new 2010 Alpina B7 Bi-Turbo, which is based on the latest BMW 7-Series. The Alpina-tuned model comes with a unique ‘001’ number, marked on its headliner plate.
