First Look: 2024 Audi Q7 arrives in the Middle East

Audi Middle East announced the arrival of the latest version of one of its most popular models, the Audi Q7. The 7-seater SUV has been a favourite in this region since it was first launched due to its luxury and comfort. The second generation has been around since 2016, and it got one facelift in 2020. Audi has decided to do another update in 2024, with subtle changes to the exterior to match its new design language, and the interior gets its latest tech.

Audi was one of the first Euro players to enter the luxury seven-seat SUV space when the first-generation Q7 launched back in 2005, and Ingolstadt’s big all-terrainer has since carved out a solid niche for itself. That said, a decade ago the Q7 didn’t have too many direct competitors, but it now must stave off the likes of BMW’s brand-new X7, reinvigorated Mercedes-Benz GLS, Cadillac Escalade, Lincoln Navigator, Infiniti QX80 and Lexus LX570, all of which are arguably one size bigger.

A day’s worth of travelling and transit flights brought us to the little town of Verbier in Switzerland, which, for the time being, had become overrun with all-new 2016 Audi Q7 midsize luxo-crossovers, as we were hosted at this sleepy skiing village for the international media-drive event. The Q7 is a big deal for Audi, as their best-seller has finally undergone a complete re-engineering after almost a decade unchanged.
