Supercars are generally built in limited numbers and sold out before all of them are even built. But Bugatti now has 40 Veyron Grand Sport cars still remaining in its production run, with no buyers.
Teased ages ago as a photoshop long before the Expo 2020 win, the Bugatti Veyron has finally joined the Dubai Police fleet in the flesh.
It was only last week that Hennessey had laid an unofficial claim for the World’s fastest production car title with its Venom GT, after it hit a top speed of 427.6 kph (265.7 mph). However, it has now brought to light that the previous record holder, Bugatti Veyron Super Sport, may have had an unfair advantage.
Bugatti has launched a new version of their fugly Veyron, dubbed the Veyron 16.4 Super Sport, and to celebrate, they went about breaking the official production car speed record. But there is a catch.
It is pretty much understood that most people buying a supercar likely has no comprehension of how to drive one. A guy named Any House from Texas just proved it on video, claiming he was hit by an invisible pelican, forcing him to plow his car into a salt-water lake. However, the story only gets murkier from there, as the man happens to own a car restoration business that fixes and sells accident-damaged supercars. Also, listen to the conversation on the video, which sounds a bit too staged. If it is an insurance scam, these have to be the dumbest people to carry it out.
