Among the motorsports practised by citizens of civilised nations such as America is tug-of-war, a test of strength and resilience. Even better if it’s done with big pointless pickup trucks! Here’s a tug-of-war battle between a Chevrolet Silverado and a Dodge Ram. The outcome is obvious, but winner goes totally overboard! Be warned though, if you’ve never watched an 18+ movie in your life due to your sensitivity to adult language, keep the volume on mute.

We were planning on taking a hiatus from testing any more cars for the summer, but when the man from Chrysler offered me a Ram 1500 for the long weekend, I casually agreed to take it off his hands. I remember it being a handful to drive the last time I tried it, back when it was still called a “Dodge” Ram, so I wasn’t too keen on driving it again. But I was wrong.

Dodge offers 2011 Ram Laramie Longhorn edition


The aggressive Dodge Ram full-size pickup truck was redesigned a couple of years ago. Then parent company Chrysler went bankrupt, sort of got bought out by Fiat, who promptly decided to restructure the American firm by separating the Ram line-up from the rest of the Dodge range. Thus Ram is now a brand all on its own, although the vehicle is still essentially an unchanged Dodge Ram. The Ram Laramie is currently available in the UAE and some other GCC countries as an upscale truck for yuppies. And in the States, a Ram Laramie Longhorn special edition is now being offered.

Chrysler & Jeep recall for six 2010 models


Chrysler has issued a recall for six different 2010 models in the United States. More than 40,000 Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge vehicles are affected by a problem where drivers might be able to remove the key from the ignition before the vehicle is shifted into ‘Park,’ which could cause the vehicle to run away on its own.
