Ford flung the covers off the 2020 Ford Escape crossover, the design of which has been taken through a thorough makeover session. There are new powerplants, including a hybrid and a plug-in hybrid, under the hood for the Ford crossover as it moves into another model year.
The Ford Escape doesn’t register on any shopping lists of crossover buyers around here. And truth be told, the mildly facelifted model that you see here probably won’t change that at first glance. But this updated model has a few tricks up its sleeve that surprised us. And in a world where even exotic cars are completely predictable, we definitely like surprises.
A refreshed Ford Escape, also called Kuga in certain markets, was unveiled at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show. Although it is only a minor update of the existing model, there are several changes.
